High Country Chorale is an adult mixed-voice, non audition community choral group in the deep southwest corner of Calgary.   We are resuming in person sessions Tuesday, Sept. 13th 2022.

Members live in Calgary’s southeast and south west communities and areas west and south of the city – Okotoks, De Winton, Priddis, Redwood Meadows, Black Diamond, Turner Valley, High River and Longview.

We practice on Tuesday evenings at Red Deer Lake United Church,  just west of Spruce Meadows.

High Country Chorale has approximately 35 chorus members.  We welcome new singers, those who haven’t sung for a while, as well as experienced tenors, basses, altos and sopranos.   Never sung in a chorus or choir and want to try?   We welcome you too!  The ability to read music is an asset, though not a requirement.

We have an eclectic repertoire, performing Winter, Advent and Christmas music during our Fall Session, and mixing old-time standards with medleys, show music, folk, popular songs and gospel favourites in our Spring Session.

Whether you can sing for the whole year or just for one session, we would love to have you join us!  Check here for information about session dates and fees.

More questions or considering joining our group? Read here about the mental, social, physical and emotional benefits of singing with a group.
